Unfortunately, we have seen and heard of many active shooter events in public facilities across our nation lately.
Some may have wondered what are the recommended actions during an active shooter event in the workplace.

Below are two videos published by The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and their recommendations on what to do during an active shooter event.

Review the videos in their entirety for best practices on what to do if you find yourself in a similar situation. Feel free to discuss thoughts with your colleagues, safety committee members and supervisors.
